"It is a battlefield inside a cylinder of highways, a crucifixion of pigs welcomes me. I hold my head in my hands. Tighter.Your coat opens slowly and everything crawls out. An army of screaming men and women with swollen knees chewing gracefully these rotten teeth. A rough voice suggests to try just a little bit harder. An old radio from 1946 plays a sound of cracking bones and cello. No one is looking at you but everyone follows. I must try a little bit harder. Shhh...My dog starts barking,it will rain soon. Hand me your umbrella. The sound of the radio gets louder and someone shouts „be good to her and she'll be good to you“.

("Where is the most beautiful funeral?" 2010)

...we are living in a mess, in a rough transition, where everything is questioned to its core, freedom of any kind is jeopardised, numbness is threatening to become one´s best companion. It´s fragile and it´s urgent.
The workshop aims at the creation of a territory that offers the opportunity of freedom of research, choice and evolution of the singularity.Different approaches, aesthetics, social, political, and cultural backgrounds have a place and are discussed, collide and challenge each other in order to come together, collapse momentarily or fall apart.

It is open to anyone who has a background in any physical practice.

In the first part, a series of exercises will be given focusing on the understanding of the body's anatomy and its correct use. Major importance is given to the senses, to showing trust towards a foreign body and the challenge of boundaries. Gradually, further information is added which allows everyone, by using his / her knowledge and abilities, to create movement vocabulary.
The second part functions as the evolution of the first one since it heads towards a re-construction of the already existing material, through several tools of improvisation. By using a palette of movement, voice, a song, a painting, a movie or an insect, each one experiments, locates, rejects, expands, creates his / her personal range. Through this process - individually, in couples, in groups - the initial material, after falling apart, is transformed, reconstructed and a temporary reality is tenderly created.

Participants are encouraged to bring along anything that at that given period, interests them in working with, be it a prop of any kind, object, book, costumes, songs, a movie, a photo of their grandparents, a favorite recipe, a text they wrote or one that someone else did and they love it or hate it.

The workshop is a sample of my personal approach to, and research in, my work which is greatly influenced by the post-punk and experimental music scene, cinema and performing arts.

" Translated into the field of culture management, it could be exactly what it needs for innovative approaches towards new arts management: people who dare the impossible, overcome boundaries, think laterally and find options to bring their visions in a complete different way into reality." (Prof. Dr. Gernot Wolfram)
